Rebate ProPrivacy Policy
MTDT LLC ("we") operates Rebate Pro, which helps HVAC contractors claim energy rebates. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who sees it.
Information we collect
When a contractor connects a Housecall Pro account, we receive:
- Job details: dates, line items, invoice information, notes, tags, and attachments
- Customer details: names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses
- Rebate application details: utility account numbers, home and equipment details, and signatures
- Contractor details: company name, contact details, and program IDs
- Connection credentials, which we store encrypted
How we use it
We use this information only to find eligible jobs, prepare and file rebate applications, report claim status, bill for our service, and provide support. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
- Rebate programs and utilities, to file a claim the contractor has asked us to file
- Service providers that run Rebate Pro: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Airtable (claim records), and Atlassian (support tickets)
- Authorities, when the law requires it
Security
We encrypt stored connection credentials, send data over encrypted connections, and limit who can access claim records. No system is perfectly secure.
Retention and deletion
We keep claim records for as long as we need them to file, track, and support claims, and longer if a program or the law requires it. When a contractor disconnects, we stop reading their account. To ask us to delete data, email makethisdothatconsulting@gmail.com.
Homeowners
If your contractor uses Rebate Pro, they decide how your information is used for your rebate. You can contact them, or email us and we'll help.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the effective date above.
